2.I have taken about 220 pics using as many different photo conditions and camera settings as possible and ALL pics have been clear, detailed, and well-exposed - all keepers. Smooth AF. Flexible settings. Movie mode works great. I considered the A620 which has received great reviews by dpreview, Consumer Reports, etc., but for about $50-60 more, you get the 1 GB card, 8 MP, and a bigger LCD. The camera is NOT heavy and is easy to grip due to the battery compartment. Being able to use AA rechargeables vs. proprietary batteries was a big selling point for me. Flip-out screen and a viewfinder gives a lot of flexibility. Newegg service was excellent. Overall, a lot of bang for the buck.
