Review:
a. I am a high school independent filmmaker, and this is the best video editing software I have ever used. No other software has this many features and this much power in the same price range. I don't think it has ever crashed on me. Whenever I try to think of something complicated to do for my films, I have always found a way to do it. It is basically the pro Vegas minus a few features for a ton less.
b. I've used Avid, Final Cut, and Premiere, and this easily beats all three. Has all the features necessary for straight-forward video editing. User interface is beautiful, every mouse and keyboard shortcut works as expected. Thumbnails in video tracks fluidly resize as you zoom in/out on the timeline. Editing audio tracks is easy, setting keyframes on the volume curves is a breeze.
